My mom and dad both raced off road in the 70's (their cars were just like the Rough Rider) when the people in their club found out about Tamiya R.R. and S.S. they all bought them! I can remember them staging races at my house. Well as a 10 year old at the time I was beside myself with enthusiasm. Much to my dismay my parents wouldnt even let me touch their cars. It took about 3 years of begging and I was able to talk my grandmother into buying me one. I chose the F-150 ranger. My dad soon after this gave me his R.R. Mom never gave me hers though. Once I hit 16 I sold both the cars in search of girls and real cars. My mom died about 7 years ago from cancer and my dad gave me her R.R. I put it on the shelf and did not touch it intil June 05 . I decided to give it a try . Bought a new hump pack, put batteries in the MRC single stick and she works !!! Of course I promply broke it (hit the garage wall) so I got on ebay to find the parts and its been all down hill from there in less than 6 months I have aquired about 10 of these cars: Frog,2 F150s,Wild Willy1,Fox,2Blackfoots,Jugg2,moms R.R. and I just bought a couple of S.R.B chassis and two Monster Beetle bodies (one from purple rob)(and about 20 cans of large metal flake pait) I plan to to some movies and retro paint jobs for the showroom. I also hope to hook up with local T.C. members for some S.R.B. action . Steve
