I was an RC nut a a kid, Rough Riders, Sand Scorchers, Hornet, then, and I still have the 'buzz' in my mind when I got pretty much the first Tamiya hotshot in the country, all the way from a little toy shop in Paignton, Devon!!
No internet in those days and mail order was what your mum did to buy your pants!
My God that was a great car!! I worked all summer to save the £112 it cost me, (kit only!) .
I spent all my cash on it, I was well and truly hooked, laser bug speed controler, (glyn peglar designed!) techniplus motor, fully ballraced, shock kit, I just bought everything available for it!! I reckon by the time I sold it I had ploughed well over £500 into it! Not bad for a 13 year old picking spuds for buck!

Ah! Those were the days!!

I really need a Hotshot again!!!
