My first experience with Tamiya RC cars was in the early 80's when I bought a Ford Ranger, and I loved every minute of it.
I have always been a keen scale modeller, mostly Cars and Bikes, in 1/12th scale. One year I was displaying my models at a national show and I noticed a stall outside that was selling very old and used RC Cars .
There was what looked like a Toyota Hilux for sale, It looked in a terrible state.
I thought that it could be saved, so the deal was done and I set about restoring it.
Most of my collection are now fully restored to original Tamiya New Spec. and all are in working order using period Acoms Radio Gear, Original Tamiya batteries, Instruction Manuals, Boxes and are fully ball raced where possible.
My other hobbies are riding Motocross, Enduro and Porsche 911's.
