Hey Guys,
I’ve been in the scale radio control hobby since my early years. It’s been about twenty-two years or so when it all started with some “Radio Shack and Nikko” brand cars among others. In one of my first visits to a local hobby shop it was when it all changed, “The Grasshopper” my first Tamiya car. Back then I was very impressed by its design, the spring suspension, upgradeable tires and motor, I got hooked immediately. The fact that I had to assemble it myself and custom paint it just bedazzled me. Wow!


Since then I’ve developed a passion for these cars. I’ve owned various models and maintained loyal to the brand of Tamiya. After my “Grasshopper”, I’ve owned a “Sonic Fighter”, “Dirt Thrasher (upgraded to Top Force Standards)”, re-released “Hornet”, re-released “Thunder Shot”, a custom dual engine FF01, a custom Twin Detonator, a DF-03 Keen Hawk, TRF-501X and my latest a TRF511X.


These days, my passion for Tamiya is as strong as ever, anything from shirts, sweaters, posters and books, I keep around the house. I still don’t know if I’m going over board, but I believe its part of the hobby. I guess the reason why I enjoy this hobby so much is because it reminds me of those good old days when life was simpler. I may be getting old but, I feel very young at heart when it comes to Tamiya.
