My interest in RC, Tamiya in particular, began way back around 1990 when I was 8 years old. My parents bought me a small radio controlled buggy that I adored. Soon though I wanted something a bit more 'serious', so one Christmas around 1992/1993 I was given an Escort RS Cosworth tigerstripe kit by my parents. That was it, the bug had well and truly struck.

By the time I was 15 I'd landed myself a weekend job in Beatties toy shop, what absolute bliss! I could now spend my weekends immersed in my hobby, chatting to other modellers and even building kits for those less able.

In my adult life I began buying and building larger RC cars like the HPI Baja 5B, 5B SS (the stadium truck version) and the FG Sportsline. I also build large-scale model boats, largely because they can be almost infinitely detailed and take an extremely long time to build well.

These days I still do all of the above but I'm back to collecting Tamiya kits too. In particular I have a strong interest in models that ran in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) in the Group A and Super Touring era, e.g. the Volvo 850, Opel Vectra, Nissan Primera etc.

As it stand now I'm still looking for several models if anyone has one available, namely:

- Ford Mondeo
- Alfa Romeo 156
- Nissan Primera
- Peugeot 406
