My Tamiya interests started as a kid building military kits. Couldn't afford many, but when I did get one, I built it as soon as I could. My first R/C kit was the original 1/16 Sherman Tank. What a brick! Wasn't very high performance, but man, what a kit. These days, it's all about nostolgia. I collect NIB plastic and R/C kits that I couldn't afford as a youngster. I do build new kits, but prefer to retore the old pan cars .
