I am just getting back into the hobby, and this site is a big reason for that. I got my first R/C car when I was 15 years old. The first car was a Tamiya TA02 Opel Calibra. I sold that car in order to get myself an Opel Calibra TA03 in 1999, and that was an amazing car. It was the first car I truely got into race condition. However, I never raced with it due to my lacking interest in the hobby.

About 2 years later I bought a Tamiya TA04-S Corvette with the prepainted body and had it sit around for about 3 months before I realized I was not going to build it because I had too many other things going on it my life. Off and on I was trying to find a good TA04-R to get so that I wouldn't have to spend all the money in order to buy all the hop-ups. This would also allow me to focus on developing my driving rather than worrying about what part would make me faster.

I got close to 3 different TA04-Rs before I finally bought one from a fellow Tamiya Club member. The car is awesome and finally made a trip to the track after 2 months of waiting for a new body. I could not believe I had been gone from the hobby so long, but it was nice to be back involved. I am now turning into a collector as well as racer.
