Started with a Christmas present when I was around 10 years old. I opened the Acoms first and thought Santa had left someone else’s present (as I didn't recognise what it was) then opened the biggest present which turned out to be a Holiday Buggy. Spent Christmas & Boxing day building it (with minimal help from my dad!!). Went off the hobby for a few years, but rekindled it when friends got kits for Christmas - Pajero, Grasshoppers, Hornets & Ford Rangers.

Through school we regularly attended a local club, racing mainly Wild Ones & FAVs. When the Hotshot came out, I lost interest as the fun became too expensive. (Although I did buy a Manta Ray)

I then got sensible, started work, got a mortgage, wife and now two children. Also a little more money so have started collecting again. At first it was a Christmas treat (build a kit over the holidays, then put it in a cupboard) but since discovering e-bay, my collection has grown. Eventually, I'd love to have NIB examples of all the R/C Porsches tamiya have produced. I now have the simple/cheap variants, only the expensive/elusive stuff to find.....
