Many years ago, somewhere in the 80's, I got a gift from my friend: it was an used and almost complete damaged Sand Scorcher. After a little restauration the car could drive again, but it was not a beauty. After a while, it was complete over with the Sand Scorcher, and I wanted another Tamiya: The Monster Beetle. I saved money a long time to buy one, and finally I had it. My first self-build RC car. A dream came out.
But life passed and the Monster Beetle became a simple toy on a shelf that my mother had to dust off every month. But in oktober 2010, I saw the Beetle standing there, the tyres were in a bad condition, due to time, and the body had many scratches and the front lights were broken. So I searched for the spare parts, bought a donor Monster Beetle and restored it completely like new.
When I was searching on the net for parts, I saw all the other beautiful vintage Tamiya's and the virus took me. Now I have some Vintage NIB Tamiya's and also some re-released models, and the search goes on.....
I love it !!!
