My first 'real' RC was a Futaba FX-10. I got that around 1988. I still remember years before that a trip in the early '80's to the lhs which was over an hour away in Orlando. It was my birthday, and I had been wanting a real RC car. The folks at the shop recommended the Subaru Brat. I remeber liking it, but for whatever reason I ended up with an RC car from the toy store that did little but eat up C cell batteries. Cost was probably the biggest factor, but I don't remember. Anyhow, about 8 months ago I decided to get another RC car. At first it was a Traxxas Stampede. Then I started checking out ebay to see what was out there. I picked up a nice new built King Blackfoot with some extras. I let a partially built Subaru Brat, but all there, escape me because I couldn't believe the price, but have since realized that I missed a good deal. I did finally get a Brat, although it was a beater. I do plan on building/restoring one. Lastly, I picked up a NIB TL-01 Focus which I have assembled and is awaiting paint/decals. My next purchases will most likely be a clod, a WW-2, and a Midnight Pumpkin...the list goes on...Chris
