I am 33 and have been involved with Tamiya R/C cars since I was 10, at the moment I have an original Hotshot, remeber the sales logo 'be a big shot, get a Hot Shot'. I also have an original Grasshopper, its a bit battered now, but I have had hours of fun with it. I also have a Kyosho Salute from when I used to race R/C cars, although the best result I ever had was racing my Grasshopper with Lunchbox wheels and tyres on a long grass course!
Have just bought a new in box Midnight Pumpkin kit....hhhmmmm let the fun commence. Now I just need to track down the relevant parts to convert it into a Lunchbox at will. Personally I think the Lunchbox was the best fun car to drive, my mate had one straight away they came out!
