Hi to all fellow Radio Controlled model enthusiasts, I am 50 years old, I started racing 1/8th nitro on road cars in 1974 at the purpose built track site in Little Moor park in Queensbury-Bradford with my family. I went on to race 10th buggies at the same track for a few years, I also raced at our own club sites in the region, also at Batley Buggy Club Indoors, Also in North Bridge Leisure Club indoors in Halifax, and at the Yorkshire RC Club site when it was still a permanent facility- next to the Leisure Centre, I raced 12th circuit at the Chesterfield facility indoors. My father has had a passion for models of all persuasions since the 1960s and introduced me to his hobby when I was four years old, He has raced Tether cars and boats before he moved on to which was at the time the all new and exciting form of building and racing RC models. My Father has now put himself out to pasture and no longer races. I am Retired and now a disabled amputee, I am wheelchair bound and unfortunately I can no longer race my models. Although now I enjoy looking for all the bits and pieces around the web that I need- in order to restore my RC models. Being a member of the Tamiya Club will no doubt help in this regard and I hope to make some friends along the way.
