I am approaching my 50's, I fell in love with RC's when I was a little boy. As a teenager, I worked as a paperboy to earn a few bucks to help my mother pay the bills and to save up for the Tamiya Monster Beetle. After saving for some months, I finally had enough to buy it along with the electronics, which was in ~1986.

I still it and I recently took it apart piece by piece part by part and cleaned all of them thoroughly. I also needed to source some parts because a few were cracked and damaged such as the body mounts and other parts. I am looking forward to restoring it; however, it will have updated electronics and not the original because those no longer function.
