I have been playing with model cars since i was a small boy in the sixties, my father made me a R/C car out of a static model, i don't think there were too many R/C cars around then??
My first 'commercial' model car was an 'Lectricar' 1/12 scale racer similar to Mardave & very basic indeed!
My first Tamiya was a Tamiya XR311, a very good car but so very fragile.
Next up was a Sand Scorcher, this was fantastic and much more suited to the ground i had to run on.
I then had a Toyota Hilux, this is how model cars should be!! i part exchanged it for a Kyosho Progress which I raced at the local club, I was never any good but we had fun! various cars followed during the 1980's, then a quiet period until the arrival of my first child, the perfect excuse to re-live your own child hood!!.................
