The blue box
huggiebob

Wow, Bill! It only took you 20 minutes to spot your old van! I was just getting ready to email you about it when I discovered your post. Don't let your next 'Box go, they're quite a blast.

The blue box

A Novak should really wake up your 'Box Bangstick! I used a 60mm shock, mounted with the standard Lunchbox U-shaped shock mounts. I screwed it on center of the rear end assembly, just behind the pivot pin and then onto the vertical wall of the chassis.

My first tamiya kit

Thank you, Lance. The netting was the unused original, as supplied in the kit, that I managed to keep intact over the years!

I'll just be bashing with this one, but I won't be surprised if I break a rear upright also! Thanks for the compliments on the paint, I was just experimenting with the anodized paints learning it's effects. Perhaps next time I'll alternate the two colors instead of two consectutive coats each.

My sweetheart
huggiebob

Thanks for the compliments everyone! About 15 minutes after these shots were taken, I managed to break the front shock tower! I fess up to being too over-confident on the jumps at the BMX bicycle track where I took the shots. Oh well....new parts are on the way! It ran long enough to discover that these 'Blasters really do handle quite well and it did get a little dirty/muddy already!

Brushless isn't cheap!
huggiebob

Aha!! Thanks for the tip, these were my first pair of HPI's. I was looking for low profile tires that could take the speed the motor puts out. I'll keep looking for something a bit better then.
