I just tried this method exactly as described and it melted the wheel! 120C, less than 5 minutes, standard Tamiya 2.2 wheel, electric fan oven - it simply does not work! :-(

The wheel was 2.2 from a Monster beetle, the oven is a standard kitchen oven by Whirlpool.

Does anyone have a used spare rear wheel for a Monster beetle/Blackfoot? Thanks..

What a brilliant idea and build! I have turned my m04-L to a rally car with the Swift body. It is nice, but yours is much more sophisticated. Can you please provide more details on the parts needed and what to do? Perhaps a short howto? I hope I'm not asking too much but this club is all about sharing ideas and you can be proud of yours.

Yup, 20T pinion. And don't think you need all the hop ups to run it at this configuration - a lot of the guys here run it bone stock with an RZ/20T pinion.

This madness could only be the fruit of this site, Tamiya Club. Normal people would never understand or appreciate this insanity. Dude, you are building a static model of an RC model. How weird is that?;-) I especially love the Blitzer beetle. Common stop toying with us all and say when you'll be making these available for all the nutters in this site. By making so many so fast you've supplied proof of concept that you can go commercial on these babies... Keep up the good work!
