thanks mates for the comments! I have promised myself that maybe one day i will drive this, but only if it is in a carpeted indoor track. I do not want to spoil the NIB shine of the parts & decals of this childhood dreamcar of mine =P

Thanks, I think this paint scheme came out pretty ok too =) Well the box art style of this car is pretty much horrible anyways so you couldn't go too wrong with ferrari-red either. Rims are the ones that came with the kit, but i just spray painted them silver. I think it really adds to the look of it greatly! I wonder why tamiya made the box art look like it got silver rims, but supplied the kit with plain white ones..

thanks for your comments guys! However I would like to clarify: if you look at the the rear part of the body mold, you can see the text 'bonnet scoop' with an arrow pointing to the cutline. So to me it looks like this is meant to be a separate piece - a bonnet scoop - which you can cut out and install to the body. But i cannot see any way how this scoop could be fitted on top this shell?

Thanks, hey feel free to snatch any ideas you want, i'm happy if i can give inspiration to new ideas :) btw you can't see it from the pics, but the vents on the sides have metal netting behind them too. It is a very subtle detail, but looks cool when you look the car closely IRL. It will propably be visible better when i'll paint the vents matt black
