I sprayed a tiny bit of WD-40 on my creaky suspension joints and guees what? The plastic broke down within a couple days. I also found out that lock tight can do the same thing to the older plastics.

Nice find, I too am a fan of this car. I bought one in the US when they first came out. I will say on pavement the car acceletated and handled very well. On the dirt it was a whole other animal. Due to the front drive and its low overall weight most of your traction (acceleration) was lost with excessive tire spin. Also another reason why you can never seem to find them with an original body. They got absolutely peppered by dirt and rocks which eventually trashed them. Compared to the Nichimo Sprirt FF (also in my collection), the Maxxum is far superior in both design and performance. At the time I am fortunate to have 2 NIB, 1 new built painted to box art, and a third new built with a decal sheet but I have not been able to find an original body for it. After seeing your car I will try get mine up as soon as possible. One of the most uniquely engineered cars ever.

In the Clods I have always preferred the MCS'. No real fear of getting them wet or muddy. Just keep that receiver in a bag or balloon. After all these trucks just beg to be tested in some of the worst conditions. Like the yellow. Pick up some yellow Bullhead bumpers and ball ends. For me that would really finish it off. Sweet truck!!
