Sgt: Red Lodge is possible but I'm not sure who's still about in this area - I think Pushrod lives on the moon now or summut??

Eric was a normal truck, until he ate.....

Bodyshell is a beauty mate you've done a great job there! I miss my 1:1 version even more now!! Since you're asking for suggestions/opinions I would leave the bullbar off, loose the side steps and the rollover bar, lower the whole thing about 20mm and get the underneath dirty! ...this is going in my favourites! :)

Cheers Michael but there'll be no vid I'm afraid, that car is long gone and I think gave the driver away!

Fix camber angle on lunchbox/pumpkin
hellbelly
Yeah, oil shocks spoil the fun! To pre-load the suspension (to get rid of the camber) I usually use small cable-ties on the front rods and large ones on the rears. Another trick you may want to try is using a TL-01 servo saver, this preserves the steering geometry when the front hits the deck. LUNCHERS ROCK!

Yes it was bright green with a kinda radio-active glow to it and we had thought of calling the emergency services ...but we drove through it instead.

Join the SIG and you'll get all the news dude - plenty of space at Red Lodge! (..just looked at your bio - I used to race 1/8 at Lilford and being local to Cambridge I remember REN Models very well!) - see you there!

TWINSET, a TLT, reversed tyres, has NOTHING changed since I've been away??

Scorpions on the crawl
mikeekim
I made some very worthwhile wheel weights for a crawler from M6 washers strung on a large cable-tie around the rims INSIDE the tyres (I covered mine with hot-melt glue to prevent rust & movement) - they weighed a lot, lowered the COG and increased the footprint of the tyres quite a bit - as for power I'd go for a LiPos in waterproof containers on both axles. Suspension links can be easily made from M3 stainless studding sleeved with alloy tubing (all available from Homebase btw!) - you can then experiment all you like. I prefer the monster look too incidentally! Have fun..

No all I had was a parts list which went Huff with the car - don't know if he passed it on to Monty or not? Incidentally I'd say the car is a Mk4 from around 1977.

New 16.8v waterproof e-maxx - christmas comes late!
Lemming
Gutted, I wanted to be first! :( I reckon this is the best truck on the market ...and that includes nitro ones, mine will run higher (cos I already got a stadium truck) but looking forward to the longer wheelbase and all that nice waterproof stuff - I killed my old EVX in a puddle no more than 1/2'! Nice one dude!
