Cheers..ukzz4iroc..yeah solid enough but def gonna need some attention to make it good but these are rare as, so I think it'll be worth it! If it wasn't an earthquake then the paintbrush was at least 10ft long!! nevermind!

Hi Paul, Well now you make me feel bad for selling it, worse than I already feel :( It truly was a great paint job and you were only 12/13! I'm even more amazed! You must paint blind folded like mr miyagi now!!!!! Anyway you must have a few more of these babies up your sleeve? Still NIB or do you feel like a bit of Karate comin' on!

Thanks for the comments guys. Favourite uncle maybe but the challenge to stay within a budget has been hard but very satisfying! A great project and I am so chuffed to have put this all together with little cash but a lot of love. The time spent will be hopefully be worth it if their 1st Tamiya buzz is anything like it was when I got my first kit!
@ Relwyn, yeah I love the tl-01, I have the tl-01b baja champ as my runner converted to brushless. I can't kill it & I sling everything at it when bashing, never clean it and never replaced a thing on it(apart from tyres!)since I got it in 2003! Building another PINK TL01b for my 5yr old daughter at the moment so fingers crossed she will get involved so that quality time with dad is with a tamiya as well !!!!

Yeah it's nice and painted really well too. The decals are lifting a bit but there are no scratches anywhere it seems, whichs leads me to assume that its driving life was short and its garage life long! glad ya like it..

Hey, that's it! I was just thinking about what I could trade for my tomy avante! Interested rad? It's got a power boost button!! ;) ... Well there is only one thing I want to know rad and that is HOW? Is olli about two inches tall? If I tried this it would be just one big fat thumb print! I bow down in amazement ... pure brilliance! Cheers people for the nice comments, it's still in need of a little finishing with decals etc. but the young lady is very happy and I am very proud!
I think for young kids you cant go wrong with a VLB and certainly you can't go wrong with pink for girls!

@ Dunk....What? You know, I know it's all scale and vintage at the reading bash... still that don't stop me turning up with brushless barrel rollin' junk does it not?!! I guess a pink VLB is a step up from my usual tamiya attire!!!!!

Cheers dunk... yeah the shell got a rest from barrel rollin' about over the usual bash spot!!... stayed on all four wheels for a change, well at least until it died of sand exposure! Regards the pink VLB, lets just say that dad had to have his fun this time and there was only room for one vehicle in the boot!!! Just couldn't somehow persuade the missus to lay down on the sand for some low down action shots?!!
Yes even after I bought the fish'n'chips!! Crackin' day though mate.... we should sort a bash out maybe before too long??????? The crater was half full of water last week!!! Perfect conditions for the usual suspects!!
