Wow..fantastic collection. Fortunate for my wallet that I lusted after faaar fewer cars as a kid in the '80's. Just picked up a complete Supershot after never being able to afford one growing up.

As amazing as NIB kits are, I have to agree with some of the other posters in that it's cooler when they are built and at least some of them run. I am restoring and planning to run my Supershot -- that's what they were made for, right? :)

Awesome cars!! I happen to like the stance that the wider tires give the Exceed but both are gems!! Let me know if you hear of an Exceed for sale. Thanks.

Awessome trucks! I have this one also and love it. With two of the three models (Chevy S-10, Toyota) offered now discontinued, I think these trucks will become very collectable.

beautiful example. I love the suspension but if I had one gripe it would be that the wheels look too small for the body or the body looks too big...awesome photos!

My first rc
ranger blue

Great photos! It was my first real R/C back in the '80's. The best all-around Tamiya '80's 2WD buggy IMO. Combined the speed and power of a 540-powered car with it's rugged bulletproof chassis and gearbox (unlike the infamous Frog for example).

A friend of mine lost control and drove it down a sewer several years after I had it but I recently purchased a re-re that's still NIB. I'll build it soon.

Very cool! I've had my LB for approximately 20 yrs but never saw most of these mods. I understand what the third shock does but why is it necessary? Thanks.

Super nice job but an infamous kit stock. It had some serious problems out of the box. I had one but sold it.

Nice to see a Tundra done up -- great job!

Tamiya supershot
R/CVET

Thanks guys, couldn't agree more. I did have to purchase the front spiked tires which were expensive so they will not be used for running at all. I have a set of white Hotshot rims and block tires I will use for running and will purchase a Hotshot body for the same reason.

Monster fun!!!!
HOPPIN MAD 74

Nice runner..the Clod Buster has truly stood the test of time as they are still being produced (in one form or another)after being released over 20 years ago.

I agree with Ukzz, get some white hotshot rims, block tires and a hotshot body and run it. I just went through the same restoration with the same car and that's what i'm planning to do. These cars are too cool to collect dust on a shelf! :)

Royal ripper
R/CVET

You're probably right and, come to think of it, nobody I knew back then had a Royal Ripper. They were all running their Hotshots, Supershots and Bigwigs while I was messing with a Royal Ripper...lol I agree, you don't see too many vintage motors for sale b/c most people don't know what they are. For example, I got a TECHNIGOLD with the Fox that the guy thought was a regular '540.'...lol He had no idea. I'd like to keep all of my vintage motors but I'll post a picture of the 427 for you here (I still have the original box too).

This has taken ages to get this way.
Crash Cramer

Looking through your showroom and love this Fox. Please add it to my Fox SIG I just created. Thanks.
