Its from a 1/9 scale Kubelwagen by Revell.
A bit of an extravagance just for the motor i know!
but i will one day use the shell for another project?? A rock crawler maybe???
if you want one? keep an eye on ebay. they are about but vary in price. i paid £36.00 for mine but have seen em for a lot more.

This is the motor from a 1/9 scale Revell Kubelwagen kit! I know its a bit extravagant to buy a big kit just for the motor? But it has a cool body shell to! That gives me an idea? Kubelwagen Rock crawler?? Not that i already have enough to get on with!

One bootyfull scorcher!
steerfromtherear

I know! A bit of ass backwards engineering? Lol! But thought i would start with all the detailed parts i want to have on it! then make The bits to make it go fit around them? I never have liked doin things the easy way round. I am in process of making my own mock up chassis at the min. Then i will either have it made in alloy? or more likely i will mould it from carbon fibre. Gear box is from Desert gator. Suspension arms from Baja Champ. Ride hight is not quite right yet as it has some sag. This Aint goin to be a light Scorcher as i want it to have arealistic ride over the dunes! I have some very cool coil overs coming from the States. So they will raise the ride hight a few mill and hopefully take the weight??

Thanks for all the positive coments guys! No Oven is my business. I think my girl friend would see even less of me if i could have one at honme! Lol!
Dont worrie Volksrod! the Hoops aint stayin! I am goin to speak to that talented chap Rad22rad for some proper Alloys! After plenty of reserch i decided on Desert Gator box? as it keeps the motor forward n low, so i have room to make a full interior setup. And my flat four sits out back in roughly the right place.

Hi Crash Cramer. The wheels n tires came from a 1980s fizz pop bang scooter thingy? It took me for ever to find four. although at the time they were the only wheels that were close to the overall diameter that i needed. they just dont look right to me! so i might have to make some from scratch? but then that leads on to more changes? like the drums which i scaled up slightly to match wheels. Oh Bugger! And then there is the prob of getting tires to fit my one off wheels?? Mmm? That would have bin a good idea to use pizza pans for drum brakes though! Thanks for all the positive comments guys!
