It replaces some tiny little axle springs which are prone to breaking easily. It's also meant to change the wheelie characteristics but I haven't run the car enough to see what the difference is!27-Jul-2006

The shock started off as a Monster Beetle shock that was in a box of parts that came with some cars I bought. It wouldn't fit with the standard yellow base, so used a base from an old friction shock that was removed from another chassis. I'll check later to see if there's another complete spare :)28-Jul-2006
