Thanks Guys, I really appreciate it. I've been working on the car all day and will soon update on the progress. It's turning out pretty sweet I think!

Yepp, any Mopar muscle wil do in my book! 67 Dart sounds sweet too! When I'm not working on my 1/10 scale, I work on my 1/1 scale '71 Roadrunner. She still needs some work though!

Thanks guys, I'm glad you like the car. I dunno how it handles with smoothies and RWD yet! The wheels are Tamiya Beetle wheels painted black around the dogdish center. The tyres are standard grasshopper smoothies. I got the idea for the wheel/tyre combo from TC member Soontie who used them on his Ford truck.

I think it will handle quite poorly and be really fun to drive! Back in the day I had a Hot Rod based on a Hornet rear axle, steel front axle, a hot motor and smoothies in all 4 cornes. Simply amazing to drive, the rear smoothies didn't last for long though!

This car looks really great, very nice! I really love the Stratos too, who makes the body you've used?
The wheels look good too, only I think I would try and find some beefier tires, maybe the HPI muscle car tires. Dunno if they will fit your Ferrari wheels in size!? Very cool car!

At last got one !!
Biscuit

Nice ride indeed! I just got a used Toyota Tom's Levin and sure enough the rear hubs were mounted wrong way around. There´s a L and R on the hub, just switch and turn the upper wishbones around and jobs done!

Yeah the match box roll cage does a great job! Only downside; the slight chance of it catching fire!

Thanks for the comments, guys. It's a Carson body shell I found on German eBay. I have modified the fenders for the body to fit better on the chassis and the roof has been opened!

Hey, this is turning out really cool! Love the Cragar-style wheels. How did you fix the HPI supersize wheel arches? -heatgun and patience? I took my Charger for a short indoor spin, it really handles like a brick in a shoebox .... really cool:-D Need to take some action photos once the snow is gone. Anyway, good job on the GeeTo Tiger!

1971 plymouth roadrunner

Hi fellow clubbers, thank you for the comments. The casting process is as follows: First I pour a cup of plaster down into the lexan body, rotating it while the plaster cures. That way the plaster sticks in a 2-3 mm thick layer all over the surface. I let it cure completely and then repeat this process 4-5 times untill the whole body has a ca. 10mm thick layer of plaster. All this is to end up with a modelling base that is not too heavy. If I just filled the body set completely with plaster, it would end up weighing 20 kilos!
I then fill up the rest with expansion foam that I cut flat afterwards, this gives the plaster mould a good flat surface to sit on. The foam also allows me to drill small holes in the finished Roadrunner mould in all the small cavities where the vac-machine can't suck out air from the ouside! Hope this makes sense! I will explain later when I get to the drilling. The lexan body will come right off after the casting in the very same way it came off the original mould at the HPI-factory! So the 'Cuda body will probably end up as a Hot Rod-project some day:-)

Yes you are right tamiyoman. I need holes by the side windows, the wheel arches and the front grill. I made the mould hollow and filled it with expansion foam. That way I can easily carve/drill evacuation holes inside the mould.

Not sure what the heck this thing is...
Tamiya Tim

It's a Steyr-Puch. The chassis is based on the Unimog.
