Thanks so much for this important hint. From my 260 rc cars, there are only around 50-70 from Tamiya, so I will have lots of time to post them. Also my background picture with the Toyota MR has gone. I will now have a week of tea until I shall post my next model, time to wash & polish, hairdry and finally comb its hair :-)

Very important one. Bought mine from the 'belgium national Rallye champion', well there were no real championships but he was the fastest of them all, a nice soldier and he had no success in selling it for a long time, then we had a hard negociation and we made rendez-vous in front of the Ikea Arlon. He made a quick demo on the parking and I saw how good he was at driving. He tried all possible Rallye cars and was in contact with Tchecoslovaquia rallye specialists and tuners. XV-01 with long dampers is the very best :-) Good choice. Of course I paid his meal at Ikea and we had some great talks about peace.

After some searching I found mine and as it is in the following Video, I must have appreciated Mercedes-Benz CLK earlier than I remember. A Kyosho TF-2 is the chassis I bought the body around 18 years ago. Now I'm glad I have it as a Mercedes-Benz maniac explains me why he likes MB so much :-)

The brake discs have nearly the exact purple colour as the aluminium posts and dampers on the car, they are a little more in the pink direction!

It was good as it was with the vintage electronics, transparent gearbox, I remember I saw one in Ettlingen in 1999, but as the release date was only 2001, I assume that was a previous model with big wheels, the kid played in front of the outdoor racing track I visited while being in Karlsruhe at the university studying mechanics.

@MAD-BEE: yes but only after I rediscovere my passion it really derailed 'thanks' to this german engineer who developed a Carrera Universal (1:32) slot car chassis and by chance on ebay I had a quick look at other articles of a seller, then I saw a rc car chassis and boom, after 18 years the small flame left for RC since 2005, exploded like a backdraft incident :-)

This one I missed for sure. Last year I followed the cup on the net, this years I wanted to combine it with a week of holiday. I bought a servo and some parts from last years winner in one class, and I simply like the change to box art, even if I ignore if you did the paintjob, you see it easily from the driver stand. Good luck and if allowed from rules, you could put some 'damper socks' to cover the dampers and protect them from dirt. Good luck !
