I'm building a 1/10 scale one too right now! I'll have it up soon.
Traxxas monster energy 1969 camaro -limited edition
I'm not 100% sure about the production numbers. I've heard only 100 were produced, but have yet to confirm this. It's a low number for sure so far, and not sure if they will ever make it to full production and see shelves or not. Some detail was lost between the renderings and the actual cars produced, but that is understandable and almost a given due to production cost. Detail was even lost in translation with the build of the 1:1. I'll post pics of the 1:1 when they are cleared for release. and you should see the episode for the 1:1 in the 2nd episode of the show coming out late feb/early march.
Pitstop taipan circa 1983 'bling'
common nerfs and chassis maybe? I'm off to research Pitstop Taipan stuff now!
Kyosho volkswagen baja bug
ooooohhhhh! Nice score! Me wantie!
How did you score the Monster Camaro? They are hard to come by!
Nice crop of VW's you've got there!
Very nice! Quite different in many ways to the VW-Cross that I have. I guess they were different generations or something.
Thanks everyone! I'll keep adding more and more of my cars as soon as I can.
CASE1- I think it came out of Australia. I can't remember the company name though. It looked coo, so I bought one, and when it got here realized that it's a repop of the IMAI body.
Something for the summer beach
Very cool! I'm building a modern modded version of a Scorpion Beetle as well. Cool to see your version of it!
Kyosho/graupner mr wheelie beetle (sold)
hmm... $85 is pretty tempting! I've got a NIB Wheelie beetle, so it would be cool to have a runner version too. You removing the speed control too, or is it included?
Thanks guys! I always wanted the snow set up for my og grasshopper when I was a kid. it took 20 years, but I finally got one ;)
Unfortunately it doesn't snow in Long Beach, CA, so it'll mostly be on display.
Holden efijy (by g.v.)
Never thought I'd see an Efijy r/c car! Really cool! Really good job of capturing the detail of the 1:1 car.
Bonus grasshopper from left over parts...
The body is a Team Blue Groove repop of a vintage Baja Bug from the 80s. Im not sure who made the original version though.
And yes, the red tires are staying :)
I'll add a little red into the paint scheme to tie it all in.
Split bug on a scratch chassis
LylesTV- I recognize your Bus from TheSamba! Always loved your ride!
Split bug on a scratch chassis
Speedy- yes, they are the HPI Vintage wheels. the rear axle was a pain, I tapped a hollow tube, and then added threaded studs and pins to accept a hex. It's still got a 540 in it. I used shorter spacers between the chassis plates to get the track width narrower, and brought the front plate back a little to shorten the wheelbase to fit the body. It's just something I threw together just to fit this body.
Wow, what a kit.
I think you've got me sold on one of these! I was looking for something to bash and thus looks like it will be fun.
Vw181 srb part 1
Really cool project! I'm a huge VW fan. I can't wait to see more progress as you have time to work on it!
Vw181 srb part 2
I think the 74 had scoops, and the 73 had no scoops. Are you going to replicate the larger 70's taillight, or use the bus type found on the earlier versions? You might be able to used the taillights off a Maisto Bus or something if you want the look of the earlier 181
