Hi all,
Thanks for the coments, yup he is truly a great mate! Sorry for the quality of the photos only had me I-Phone at hand. The truck and buggy in the second photo are both RC10's with the early stealth trans, the truck came with a set of trick narrow tires and rims. Havent found them as yet still sorting through the pit box! The Javlin cage is orange apears to all be there, apparently it used to be chain drive and was upgraded, will see what I have once its all sorted. Also looks like I might have enough parts to build two cats, a short wheel base and long wheel base vertions. Now all I ahve to do is decide which one to restor first!
Cheers all, Shaun

Who doesn't like lights?
Toykid

Nice job mate! Reminds me of when a good mate and I used to help the local rally club, and we would man a night checkpoint. The amount of lights on some of the cars was nuts!

Hi SRB Bloke, yeah after all the scraping and sanding there wasn't much left of the rubber trims. I have seen one of the TC members selling faux engines on eBay, which I quite like so may go with one of them.
Thanks Percymon The rear gaurds are still evolving as I'm still not really happy with them!
Using .8 mm sheet if I remember correctly.

I had thought about trying these wheels my self, but ended up with a set of rogue badger rims. Interesting combination though.

G Day slimmy, yup it's the vent from rogues trim kit. Still got to fit the fuel cap. Sadly I won't be using the sun roof trim on this project, Couldn't remove the sun roof without damage.

Hey there Vintage Hilux Fan, Glad you liked the pics. At the end of each days running I wash every thing down with fresh water and give every thing a good blast with the air-hose then re-oil the bearings. I use sowing muchine oil as I am too lazy to remove the bearing sheilds to re-grease. So far I have only lost a few bearings due to not geting all the salt and grit out, but considering how cheap racer bearings are its no biggy. The green scorcher is running a kamtec radio box. Its water re-sistant enough that I can run through puddles with no problems. The pink and purple dub has the tamiya radio box which is fully sealed hence more photos in the deep puddles. After this particular run even the gearbox was full of water but after a good clean and re-lube no problems. both cars are running tamiya diffs, the diff balls are a bit narley now but havn't effected the over all diff effect. Just got to check that their tight before each runn.
Enjoy Shaun

G Day Steve thanks mate, I'm still very interested in the stingers. Ill email you on that in the new year when things have settled down a bit. I was thinking about using ChrisHix's driver ideas not sure yet! Suspension wise I'm a bit limited as to what I can do as I dont want to mount any thing off the rogue chassi, but I have an R/C Channel Buggy Champ suspension kit that I might use with some slight mods for max ride hight. Or go more with the week end worrior she'll be right, run it as it is mate! type set up. Or or.... ;-) Feel free to use any ideas mate as most every thing I am doing is some one else's idea just with my twist on it. Merry Xmas Cheers Shaun
