That thing looks awesome Barry. The hub carriers on the rear end (where you have the zip strips at) are nothing more than the ball ends and threaded shaft (identical to the steering linkage kit) I was thinking about using some titanium turnbuckles myself; I think they would look better anyways. Looks like the only thing left for the major chassis components are the side rails.

Without a doubt, THE BEST looking Super Champ I have ever seen. The bumper is just the coolest!!!! If these 'gold plated' SRB's were not in the 'Have You Seen' section of TC, they need to be there right now, with an apology for not having them featured there yet. Super nice work Jerry, and you are the most generous RC 'associate' I have yet to meet.

Hey Junkie.....Im pretty sure this buggy you have was made by Leisure Electronics, circa later 70's early 80's. If I am correct, it is the Leisure Electronics, Samkyo Siguma Ace Dune Buggy. I got that out of my 1980 Radio Control Buyers Guide (Sixth Edition.) I have emailed you the page out of the guide, so see what you think. At first glance, it looked like the old Peerless/ Kyosho Buggys from the late 70's, but upon closer examination, no way. The dead giveaway on this buggy is the wheels; compare it with the ad....if it is not that exact buggy, it has to be a close relative. Hope this helps.

Absolutely stellar Jay! I will have to send you a teaser pic of my ultima and optima next to each other, although they still have some minor things that still need to be done. Would love to do a photo shoot together, and maybe make some of our Japanese friends over there at Time Tunnel Back to 1980 a little jealous!

Jay, that is the identical radio that I bought the first time myself- still have it to this day! I got mine from a Tower Hobbies monthly catalog. Had to suffer through using a beat to heck old Futaba airplane radio before that, and finally got a job and could afford this one. Thought it looked wayyy cooler than all the others. Unfortunately, I have so much Futaba stuff just because I get so much of it through ebay finds and what not.

dont know who made the esc. It is ancient, but could not find any manufacturer markings. The red heat sinks on it are, what else, but Hot Trick. The regular silver aluminum heat sinks were the stock ones.
