I hope he does but right now due to the recent cold weather and an ear infection he does not like anything outside. It's all 'Skylanders' on the xbox at the mo. Oh well can't force him.

JWeston, I would very much like to restore it and get rid of the ill fitting body shell the last owner fitted to it. Be a while before I buy any more RC bits as I have just spent quite a bit on my latest addition to my little Tamiya family. Great video clips BTW!

They do exactly that, no need to film with Steadicams and spend hours in Pemier Pro editing when people just want to see how car runs real time. Keep it up, very informative and helpful stuff :)

Wow! this is the exact buggy I had as a kid and have not laid eyes on one since. I loved mine and ran it into the ground. I can rember seeing my first Tamiya Monster Beetle in Beatties Notts and thinking how massive it was in comparison. I even mentioned my Nikko 'Hornet copy' on my profile page. Just sat here for ten minutes staring at your images, It's amazing to see one again, never thought I would.

Thanks guys, I have considered changing the front wheels but as it's my 5 year old son's car I doubt he will notice the handling issues, so until/if he does I will leave the big balloon tyres on for extra 'curb bounce' protection :)

I have slipper clutch, reinforced cups x 4, hop up drive shafts going in and a 'castle' sidewinder 2 5700kv combo. All I need is a few spare hours and the paint. Present status- just about to put the slip diffs in at the mo. I will try the silver behind the main colour as you suggest, looks like a rich finish. Thanks for info.

Lucky lad, bigger the better at that age hey. At least nowadays with 5000mah batteries he will get more than 5 mins of run time unlike when they were first released along side 700mah 'sport packs'.

Leonis did absolutely great, gave her a good thrashing with a 2s 4000mah 40c Lipo & a castle 5700kv on carpet and road tracks, nothing more than a few scuffs and I had a few pretty heavy crashes. Everything looks to be in perfect working order, see part 1 photos. Will join the club and after more practice I'm hoping to have a go at my first race.

Not sure about the whole license thing, I contacted BMCC over facebook and they suggested I just go down whenever and have a bash. I'm going down for their club meet on March 3rd.
