Yeah sorry about the whiplash 😳 it's the iPhone thingy and I could not rotate the . I will put a few more up taken with a proper camera. This one is completely standard apart from a complete CRP shock brace, the chassis, gear box wheels and so on have never been run, the shell is a used one though that I stripped and painted, the trick is to spend time on the prep and don't give it too many coats of paint as it will just dull the gloss, keep an eye out as I will list a few more pictures and other stuff I have, the next one is a real eye catcher with a few mods! Thanks for looking and the comments!

A new take on a classic monster beetle
Buggy boy 73
thanks for the comments and i am glad you al like it, its taken a while and i have tried a few different things before i got here, but it was made to be used and it its does, but i do have a spare set of wheels incase i take it off road with my son, Gripper, it has the original gears but the final drive is fixed and has throp drive shafts, the motor is 15T and runs off an MSC although after prolonged use it does get a little warm, i also have use either 2.4ghz or the old faithful acoms APP277, i prefer the vintage stuff but its all preference. i tried to keep the 80's style with the brown colour but give it an up to date feel, it is great fun to use but as with all old stuff does need a little up keep from time to time. keep your eyes open as i have a few more to put up and i hope they will get the juices going for all who like the old school stuff, thanks to all for your comments, please keep them coming and if i can help any one please ask.

A new take on a classic monster beetle
Buggy boy 73
good spot crash cramer, indeed it is a CRP brace, i have one on my shelf queen but i wanted to get a better angle on the rear shocks to make it a little more responsive, the rear shocks have duel spring which give it enough travel over small bumps but for those larger jumps the second stiffer spring comes in and stops the shock reaching the end of its travel and bottoming out. the front tower suports are a home made thing out of some parts i had in the shed but they are very strong, i have also put them on other models i have. the mirros are alloy and i think give it a little added detail. Thanks Again,

My sand scorcher with a few additions
Buggy boy 73
thanks for the comments they are appreciated, the Yeah Racing rear shocks are 55mm, they came with a load of universal fittings but I found that with a little soap and perseverance that the rubber bushes that came with the original kit fitted very well, I even used the original bolts, the bushes give just enough play to get the right angle. well worth it if you can find a set.

Gents, thank you, great to get feedback, it's taken a while to get it right as I did not want to compromise the final look, and I wanted to make sure it was as genuine as possible, but I could not resist the colour! Glad you like it and another one to add to the collection!
