Awesome! I love your TGX collection. Do you have servos in all cars, or only for pics? Huge effort if the former considering they are shelf queens.

Thanks. This was the first nitro car I owned and I remember putting it on lay a way, at 13 years old and paying $569 for the kit with radio and starter gear. I'm 30 this year so it's great to have the kit that started it all, it's Definetely one of Tamiyas finest.

I have owned a Ts-020 body set for the TGR and the motor is not the only concern for fitting the body set, the shock towers are not low enough to mount the body shell properly. Have you test fitted the shell on the TGX chassis?
The engine looks great!

Thanks guys, you are both the TGX kings. I'm still collecting the set. Really want an R390 GT1 and that will bring my collection to 9 TGX models on display.

The rear long axle and wheel bushing would be almost impossible to source but I wish I could get more of them as the stock offset on most TGX's is pretty weak. I have a couple more TGX's to list up.

Indeed very rare, it cost me a pretty penny too! The chassis was 600 AUD delivered, plus the NIB engine, and NIP fuel tank it was very expensive to acquire and complete let alone all the nice option parts... All my cars have the boxes and manuals too except for 1 that I built from new parts.

Thanks, I have noticed a significant drop in availability of any TGX related parts lately. Lucky I was able to get as many options as I did, it did take time to collect all the options for a few chassis.

I'd say very effective. So far I have 12 on display and 9 of them have inserts. The ones with inserts roll super smooth. The others have noticeable flat spots due to the soft and aging standard low density foam offering in the kits. I will replace all eventually. You do have to modify the rims to accommodate the moulded insert. I like the look of the car on the deck and not raised.

I felt I took my time hehe did it over 4 days. I have built so many TGX chassis I can do it with my eyes closed. I enjoy the process of painting the bodies and decals.

Thanks I have a couple of carbon upper decks however part of the appeal is the black plastic and building it as depicted in the Tamiya catalogues I used to drool over as a kid. This chassis in this spec is a child hood dream!
