Looks great, nice job. As IBIFTKH said, nice to see the Brat body sitting properly for once. I like it.

Mad bull raging to be built
Dirt-Racer
The Mad Bull is a great RC, especially for beginners. I think your sons will love them. Quite durable too. I painted my shell in a metallic blue, goes nice with the yellow wheels and red shocks. Can't go wrong with black box-art either. Be sure to post some photos when they're done.

Mad bull raging to be built

Yea, it's funny what leaving out that .5mm spacer will do (or not do) for the transmission. I still have the stock shocks on mine but have also been thinking of upgrading to oil-filled. I mostly run it on flat ground so it doesn't bother me too much, but if going over ramps or jumps I can definitley see whating oil shocks.
As far as the battery, I bought these 2s lipos for all of my vintage Tamiyas and I love them - https://www.amazon.com/GARTPOT-4000mAh-Battery-Hardcase-Associated/dp/B07J5C6J9V/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=gartpot+lipo&qid=1608747385&sr=8-1
They are the exact same size as the original NiCd/NiMh stick packs and work wonderfully. Have used them in the Mad Bull, Grasshopper, and TA02 so far asn not a single fitment problem. I did away with all of my old batteries/chargers/transmitters a year or so ago and only run 2.4ghz with Lipo batteries & Deans connectors. I understand the appeal of collectors using vintage electronics, but I like to use my cars and todays electronics are so far superior I would not want to suffer with the old technology at this point.

Tamiya hummer w/custom chassis

Thanks James! They do look much better without the bumper. One of my favorite Tamiyas, they did such a good job on the body. Hopefully they'll re-release it one day.

Tamiya txt-1

Thank you, definitley post the BF #15 when finished, would love to see it. The TXT axles are some of the best looking RC axles ever made, shame Tamiya insisted on hiding them behind hgiant bumpers...Never had the Kyosho USA-1, but would like to get one someday and restore. Yea, I'm pretty obsessed with monster trucks in general, both RC & 1:1. Going to be adding some of my others to the Showroom in the next few days when I have time, be sure to check back.

Cool truck, nice job. I always thought these looked great but shyed away from them being independent suspension. The more I see them the more I think it might be cool to have one, something different for a change.

Tamiya bullhead
87lc2
Thank you. I never really thought much about the Bullhead when compared to the Clod Buster as I much preferred the pickup truck body, but after coming across this one I have gained an appreciation for it. Something only Tamiya would have done, especially in the the time period, and I think that's what makes it special.

Cross rc pg4a
87lc2
Yea, they are pretty nice kits and definitely scale looking. My father is a huge fan of Cross and has quite a few, the PG4A, SP4C, HC6, MC6C 8x8, Mammoth BC8, and just pre-ordered the new AT4 with 2 speed & remote locking diffs (sort of like a Cross version of the TRX-4. The military trucks are awesome, his Mammoth is absolutely massive and will go just about anywhere. He uses them on the trails a lot. I think he's nuts for bringing out vehicles that expensive but I guess that's what they were made for. He'll go through mud up to the windows..crazy.

Tamiya grasshopper
87lc2
Thanks for the comments. It's funny, most people who love the Grasshopper had an original when they came out. I never owned one back in the 80's, but for some reason it's still one of my favorites and as stated reminds me of simpler times within the RC world. Very strong feel of nostalgia with the Hoppper.
