Thanks guys. I've updated the description above to add a little bit about the original 58385 kit, including hop ups used and added a couple of pics of the chassis and body shell.
Super astute (2018)
Thanks - it's absolutely gorgeous. You will not be disappointed!
Subaru impreza wrc (tl-01)
Thanks! Currently eyeing a used TL-01 on ebay at the moment. I'd tear it down, do a re-build, replacing parts as necessary. If I end up getting it, next I'll need to get the body and decals. Decisions, decisions...
RICH, I appreciate the interest. I am quite fond of Tamiya's buggy-based trucks, and consider the Dyna Blaster to be the prize of my collection. Sadly, she's not for sale.
Ford focus rs wrc 02
Yes, I know, so regret selling this one. I'm slowly updating my showroom since I finally joined TC after lurking for years. I have two more TL-01s to add :)
Last of my blitzers!
This is fresh and beautifully done. Well done sir!
Promarkt-zakspeed amg mercedes c-class
Thanks, Jersey. I do love the Mercedes'. I love the Audi body as well, very jealous of your recent addition!
Ford escort wrc
That's great! I actually just posted my very first TC forum post yesterday on the *Postman Brought Me* thread; I picked up a used TL-01, spares, and a new Subaru body for a tear down/re-build I am getting ready to start. The TL-01 was my very first Tamiya (actually, it was my very first hobby grade r/c), so I have a particular fondness.
Mitsubishi lancer evo iv monte carlo
Sadly, no. I love this kit :)
Toyota mountain rider
Thanks - I have a High Lift Toyota Hilux built. I'm thinking of re-painting and adding the Mountain Rider decals. Problem is, I really like how it turned out, so still TBD :)
Landfreeder matte black special
Thanks, Wyoming. I, too, love the CC-01 - this is my sixth (!!) CC-01. Although I am looking forward to trying out the CC-02 (just saw your new post), but waiting on a kit with a plastic ABS body.
Volkswagen amarok (wt-01n)
Yes, I'm just wrapping up the build - it definitely looks like it'll be a great basher, and right at home on the beach!
@MAD-BEE, yes, couldn't agree more. I've built many Tamiya RCs, but this is the first of the classics. Definitely a different experience - and very enjoyable.
@Wyoming, that seems to be the consensus based on what I've read. But there's something about it that I just don't like. Hopefully I'll be proven wrong.
Blitzer beetle (2011)
Thank you, MAD-BEE! One thing I want to work out: I've see how orange nose cone and the orange sticker sometimes don't match. Something to think about...
