Wow! that looks just like SPEED BUGGY, the Hanna-Barbera cartoon spin -off from scooby doo, with Shaggy as a driver and some other Hanna-Barbera characters. Talking late 70's here, anyone remembers???

I love the results so far, GREAT WORK. Herbie was a 63 beetle and Tamiya's body is a 67 model. Good job in not letting it show too much. For the spoiler, I would try making one out of a scrap piece of Lexan which you can heat up to shape/curve it like you want then use a dremel to sand/trim it for a proper fit. I would some double sided tape to attach it. You can make the wing supports and brackets out of thin aluminum tubes and sheets like the ones found in hobby shops. I Think the hardest is behind you, congrats on the nice results so far.

Looks like the Tamiya F-101 chassis and Footwork Arrows bodyset painted to look like the 1988-91 Benetton Ford. Those are Aguri Suzuki's helmet colors.

Well than you all for your kind comments. It is a work in progress and if I can locate an SS nose, I will swap for sure as I do find the blitzer nose too protruding.

Mad Zero, I didn't know either. I saw these at my LHS in the section they have all the hop-ups for mini-RC. It is not specified on the packaging how much they can handle, only instructions on how to solder. for more info:

Looks great ! much more like a 1/8 with those wheels. how fast do they go with the brushless? enough to give the nitro version a run for its money? The 09 is pretty pricey and I wonder if it is worth it vs. a brushless electric version.

I wouldn't touch anything from the door hinges to the back. Looks great. Front end...a bit too long in my opinion. I would round off the squared tip of the front fenders for a more sweep back look. Definitely narrower front fenders. Hood scoops???? Hmmm...I guess they can grow on me.
