Yeah the chassis was a bit worn and ugly but I prepped it well and the white paint realy makes it look great.

ha, ha, well there's your problem... It's just missing steering tie rods and a servo. When I put those on the frog it won't look so confused on which way to go. Also the whole missing battery door thing might be a problem. :) I'll get it together soon.

Cool Thanks, I have a brand new with sticker still on it silver can 540 I am going to put in it. I thought I would do a black and white body because thats for the most part the only other colors on the car. I just have to buy a body with decals and some body posts.

That is cool. I used to have some of those. They were great. They used to sell them at the dollar store...I had a bunch of them. The dollar store never sold the track so as a kid my dad and I made a circle track out of some old garden hose with cardboard taped to the side and set the circle down on a smooth paved surface. They were fun. Good memories. I had that exact same white 'spitfire', black 'brat', a yellow one 'spirit', and another yellow one 'dash' They are now all broken and long gone.

That is a great project, well done. It must have taken a good amount of time to fab that up. Very cool that you 'made' your own car. The parts you made really makes this'your' car which is neat. It looks good, nice job. Have you taken it for a test drive yet?
