Archive material from May, 1988. Useful for RC Monster truck fans/collectors. ;)
I found some mistakes in the truck description section, though.

Awesome - Love the stats on the 4th and 5th pic

Well, there are more than two or three mistakes on the stats, which allow me to think RCCA must have made some mistakes with the tests themselves.

Awesome!!! Just read the article, The Clod Buster dominated sled pull. A true Monster Truck & Powerhouse! Thanks for posting it.

Hiya Gerhard. Yeah, the Clod Buster rules. Now, I wonder what those who see it as a wimpy truck compared to the legendary Toyota Bruiser would say after reading the test results?

I remember this magazine. I had one back in the day. The monster truck shootout. I also remember one were the clodbuster was put head to haed with the USA-1. Great times.

Incredible pics and what great memories.....I can remember pouring over that edition of RCCA as I cheered for the Lunchbox in the head-to-head match up. If I remember correctly, I borrowed some of the mods from their LB as well. I kept that edition and many others for years until I was forced to trash them for lack of space.

What an awesome (radical?) article! When I saw the last page I honestly thought you had written it for a second because your name was at the bottom Erich haha

No no no. These are just my old scans! But, ya know, I would have loved to 'be there' and check all these wonderful (and now legendary) machines.
Anyway, what do we do now... go and get ourselves a 1984 BIG BEAR??

Never saw this RCCA edition but it's great to those old powerhouse vehicles in the magazine.
I also like the chevy 57 Sled Puller
