These are the photos from a couple of visits to a patch of ground at the end of the beach in Felixstowe, Suffolk.

The first, sunnier, action shots are my wife driving and me shooting, the second ones are me doing both, hence there are more 'Still Life' shots!

It's pretty good here for crawling, but whilst the Pajero is good on gravel (there's a video to come later, should show the inclines it made it up) and has the rear diff locked, I think I need a slight body lift and grippier/chunkier tyres to make it through and up and out of the sand. Any recommendations welcome.

The video should show some more of the getting stuck!

Really enjoying the Pajero, I think I'd like another and make it faster for comedy value, like a scale grippy Pumpkin! Although it does have a habit on grippy ground of throwing itself on the roof because of the high centre of gravity. Does anyone know if there is a lexan/lighter weight body for the Pajero? Sure I've seen someone with the Pajero Evo shell on here, but not sure if that is ABS or Lexan?

Thanks for looking and as all ways comments and suggestions are welcome,

Cheers,
Dave

Nice shots Dave. Yeah the rear shock mount`s looked pretty weak to me when I built mine. I changed it for machine screws and the little brass spacers used to mount shocks on many of the monster trucks. The XB Shell is Lexan. I've locked both diffs and used Highlift tyres with the fornt wheels ones weighted. You'll need to do the body lift for the tryes to clear the arches.

Dave there's a shot of my old Yelow Sub in the ones that got away in my showroom, that's a Lexan one with MU Type-X rims on to give you an idea. We can talk about it's endless mods sometime lol - it was quite a machine

Nice Pajero, i suggest to change rear link, or better buy the rc channel metal axle kit.

Nice excursion - thanks for sharing. She definitely need larger tires for more clearance and better floatation in the sand. Thanks for the motivation - I'll have some pics of both my 3-speeds in the beautiful Michigan dunes in a couple of weeks.
