The RC Scorchy 1/35th Scale Model By Oldsterolli.

I have been a BIG fan of Olli’s work for many years now and I have several of his Scorchy 1/35th kits.

Olli has made me a 1/35th scale replica of my Snap On Scorcher some time ago. The detail was just fantastic. It was hard enough to make in 1/10th scale, but Olli did it in 1/35th scale.

It is a truly stunning model that Olli made for me and it is one of the most treasured pieces in my collection.

Olli had told me that he was planning to make the 1/35th Scorchy in a fully RC capable model. I just begged him to make one for me, which he kindly did.

Thank you Olli.

Here you can see what Olli has made. This is a fully functioning RC car in 1/35th scale.

Working motor with forward reverse and brake speed control, steering, front lights, rear lights, brake lights, reverse lights. Independent front and rear suspension, drivers head moves when the wheels are steered, alloy chassis, rubber tyres, miniature gearbox and a fully detailed and beautifully painted modified body.

I was stunned when I received this model. It was delivered in typical Oldsterolli presentation in a Stunning tin box with Olli’s brilliant box art drawings. In the tin box was a full instruction sheet, battery and a certificate of authenticity.

For me this is a very special model because this was all the work of one man from start to finish.

The battery was charged and crystals fitted and everything plugged in. The RC Scorchy runs beautifully and without problems.

It runs over rough surfaces and you can see the suspension working. With the lights connected the fronts shine brightly and the rear lights glow. When you brake a second set of brake lights come on. When the model stops and is made to reverse a tiny white reverse light comes on. Truly
Amazing !!!!!.

I have run this model several times and it has good speed and you can even power slide the rear. It is also suprisingly very very tough and nothing has broken on the chassis or body.

To appreciate the work and effort that must have gone into firstly designing and then manufacturing such a small RC car and all the packaging and instruction manuals is mind blowing !!!

Olli I take my hat off to you and your talent. There is only one guy who could have done this and Olli is the Man.

Thank you so much Olli for all your hard work with this model.

I am extremely lucky to have the RC Scorchy with the Scorchy Static model in my collection, and have Olli as my Friend.

-Not 1/10th Scale but 1/35th Scale RC !!!! -Stunning attention to the micro details -Truly STUNNING Thank you Olli -View from top and the driver figure moves too !!! -Alloy Chassis with Olli's engraved signiature -Body off showing Chassis and Battery -Fully detailed roll cage inside -Working front, rear, brake and reverse lights -Stunning presentation as always -At home in the display cabinet with its brothers

It would be impressive if it was 1:10 with all that detail but at 1:35 its just awesome, I'm lucky to have a static version but this is another level! Olli is a true craftsman and a top guy also!

Fantastic work. Really. I would love to know more about how it was built. Olli, I'm off to stalk you and your talents now... Rad, this must feel great - how flattering to have someone (especially of such high praise) dedicate such time and enthusiasm to replicating one of your masterpieces? That's really cool. Well deserved.

Awesome work Olli, on your little Scorchy. Are you planning to make the hole Srb collection in 1/35th scale?? That woudt be really a work of art.
And Rad, you did buy the most specific Scorchy ever, enjoy with it.

Hello Rad,

I've just seen your last showroom entry, and I kind of feel very relieved.
Here is the thing: earlier this year, answering a comment he had left me, I asked Olli if he would agree to build a replica of my Sand Scorcher.
To my great joy and surprise, he said yes, and we started talking about how it would be, we even agreed on a price. That was last february.
Since them, I wrote him several emails through TC and the email adress I had for him (osc@chello.at). They remain unanswered.
I must say I feared the worst.
Rad, would you please let me know if he is fine, and do you know any other way I could contact him please?

Thanks in advance,
Cyril

ps: Now, I'm gonna take a closer look to the pictures, this Scorchy looks incredible!
