1980s Birthday Present

My memory is that this was received as a birthday or Christmas present some time around 1988.

My first Tamiya, as well as the first kit of such complexity I had ever put together. Friends in California during the 1980s had Radio Shack and Neko cars, but this was quite a step up in complexity as well as size.

I painted it all-green, as I couldn't understand how a frog could possibly white and pink...

This particular car was unfortunately lost in the mid-1990s, but not before my uncle filmed it in Michigan one summer - thus the VHS stills. Since then I've built a re-release Frog.
