First built Scorcher since 1983!
So I finished my first Sand Scorcher kit! It was a pleasure to build, and since I have my Buggy Champ as more of a basher, I decided to put a little more detail into this one. The idea was to use what was in the kit, and maybe a few extras. So this Scorcher features ........ *Pearlish Green paint in reversed boxart style * Entire inside of shell painted flat black * Yellow tinted lenses * Side mirrors from Mercedes DTM * Metal exhaust from Ebay. Metal grills from Home Depot air vent duct * Aluminum covered trim and baseboards * Body panel lines painted * Sanded with 3000 grit and triple clear coated * Waxed 7 times with auto wax * Driver has a goatee, and shows teeth * Alloy wheels from Ebay, painted bolts * Rear lenses cut and clear parts added * Chassis parts painted black and clearcoated * Shocks Tamiya TS white paint * Stock Silvercan motor * ........ Not sure if it's going to get beach abuse just yet, still wanted to make a custom front bumper for it, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Cheers,

Wow, that green and white paint scheme is awesome! Love the detailing too - I couldn't bring myself to run it on anything other than a dry soft sandy beach, at very low speed!
Jammer
Nice shade of green - works really well with the white detailing.

Thanks guys, the color is actually a Tamiya TS spray. Don't remember the number though. Clear was the TS-13. Cheers!

Nice scorcher and very clean! Nice decals position but the rear light painting is wrong. The upper side is orange (direction lights) and the bottom side is red (position and brake) I hope this can be of help.
Skottoman
@TIXX74, yah, I guess I switched those around as much as possible. Hahaha...

One of the best things about the re-re, is people aren't afraid to deviate from the boxart blue/white, I love the reverse paint job and that green rocks! Not to mention all the intricate little details you've added! This is really in a class of it's own, well done!
