Well I just wrote an entire story, and like thát it's gone. Happens a lot here!!!
So again. I bought this Pilot with a TA01 chassis and a shabby shell and some extra bits for € 50,- with the intent on running it as I do al my cars. I cleaned it up bit, ballraced it and I now use the chassis with my new Lancia Delta shell. The pilot stand on TA02 chassis wich is also ballraced and both chassis have alu schocktowers and shocks from yeah racing plus alu moter-holders (probably the one and only weak point on the TA01/02 chassis). As you can see, the Pilot shell is in need of some TLC and I'm doubting wether to restore this shell or buy a new one.
I have at last received a new shell which I ordered month ago. It's an Audi Quattro shell which will be sharing the TA02 chassis with the Pilot. I bought it from a German company named Extra Trade who that sells a lot of shells for ok prices. They had a bit of delay receiving a shipment from Carson where, as you know, this body comes from. But at last it has arrived and I can't wait to get it finnished. By the way, it seems to be a new batch. I read some complaints about this body being to thin, and showing obvious casting-lines. No lines on this one, and it feel really thick and strong. The future will show iff this is the case, because this will definitely be raced and featured in one of my movies... In what livery? I'm not sure yet. I like the orignal decals, but I'm also thinking of something different. Let me know what you think and thanks for looking...
