*SOLD*
*SOLD*After months of her sitting on my table, i decided to build her over the weekend. A fairley straight forward and easy build, and fun too.
I was wondering what colour scheme to put on, and i came up with this. Was gonna leave it blank, but when i started putting the decals on, they looked OK on the silver and black background.
Please ignore the shoddy areas of spray, as she will be used as a runner, even though every part i took off the plastic sprees, was cut down to look neat and tidy, as i would with a shelf queen.
I installed a Tamiya Dirt Tuned motor to give her a little more zip to a normal 540 silver can, and a normal ESC.
Anyone reckon the colours work ok together?
All comments welcome
Cheers, ;) *SOLD*

bad andy
color scheme looks great! I think for a touch more pizazz... touch up the rivets in the rims with silver for a bit more pop.
Dirt-540
Looks great, I think the colours work together really well. Check out my restored/custom King Blackfoot with black wheels and black doors, bonet and tailgate, it has a primered body instead of silver. I have a paint scheme planned for my VLB once I get time to build her, cant wait. These are good fun to run too, water and mud doesnt pose too much of a problem either as theyre easy to clean due to the simple chassis. Enjoy!

I think it looks great in silver and the black rims set it off nicely. I have one to build and that will be getting done once I finished my kit axial honcho.

looks great! One idea, give the outer 'edge' a coat of orange to match the 'flames' in the body.

I think i could call it the 'Egress Box' lol, what do u think?
Thanks for the comments, now i am not sure if i wanna use it as a runner, but i do have another NIB to do again, someday

Looks proper smart I had one with black rims it didn't look as good as this one though. Good work mate

You know, that really looks great! Simplicity at it's best. I have a NIB kit sitting around, still wondering what to do with it, but if it turns out this cool, I'll be happy. Nice job for a runner, and pretty easy to touch up if needed. Excellent.
slimmy
It does have egress colors. I like it. nice job

Looks great!
Use it as it should be, only the first scratch hurts!
SteelRat
Only on TamiyaClub is it acceptable for one man to say to another, 'Nice 'box'.

Looks great, i've just bought a parma body for my LB and wasn't sure what colour to paint it, I think silver is the way to go. Can I ask what used on on the wheels normal black spray?
paulos29
yes mate, it was just Humbrol Acrylic black gloss spray, wheels came out alot better than the bottom of the shell, but looks ok for a runner
Retro rules!
Like the paint scheme. Its nice to see some non- box art lunch boxes. Well done mate

Thanks for the Props on my build. IMHO the silver and black is excellent, this is class, its like yours is the 'taste the difference' premium lunchbox.
(and the black window on the black back door is the cherry on top)
