Well here it is, the Daddy. Bought this as a treat for myself for my 40th birthday. Wanted something that was a Tamiya icon and a must have for the big 4-0. Stuck pretty much with box art livery (as I do love metallic blue and silver). Straight away impressed by it's sheer size and that presence that everyone talks about.

Everyone should have one of these, and no mistake. It will be modded, to cover the 'essentials'; namely high torque steering servo, ESC, probably series wire a couple of 23t motors, and oil filled shocks, but also I'm going to have a go at making a clod based custom truck pretty much from scratch

Anyhoo... even though it's nothing out of the ordinary for a Clod, hope you like it. (last pic is with my Scorcher, just so that those of you who've never seen a Clod in the flesh get an idea of just how big this thing is)

Great pressie to yourself... I like the fact you can't fit both cars on the desk at the same time... Look forward to the mods.. enjoy the next 40....

OMG! The tires are as tall as the Scorcher! I have no idea where I'd store something like that! Looks great, bet it drives over anything!

Jeffy.. I like your thinking. Where do you put the second battery though? Skottoman, your reaction was exactly the same as mine when I opened the box. One end of the shorter side of the box is just all tyres!

I made a mount for it running front to back just behind the grill so as to put some weight over the front wheels. The transformation is unreal.

Nice truck. The EVX is a great ESC. Then you go brushless and forget all about everything else.
