Jet Hopper modifications
Started to work on my runner Jet Hopper. I wanted to improve drivability of the car without changing the outer appearance. Here's what I did so far: added a low profile steering servo with improved steering linkage. The front wheels now have brass bushings resulting in zero play on the wheel axle. The main circuit board has been removed and replaced by a small electronic speed controller for 380 motors. The ESC is connected to the stock on/off switch. Power comes from a 2s Lipo battery. I even added a LED Lipo saver, where the LED replaces the stock on/off LED.
The car now has full ballraces in the gearbox and is powered by a Graupner 280 size motor (lots more rpm than the stock one).
Here's a video of a first test (with red bodyshell):

That's sweet. I've always wanted to do something like this to an old Turbo Hopper or Nikko buggy.

Fantastic video you made. I've been wanting to do something similar with my vintage Tyco/Nikko collection. Some of mine are original and some are hobby converted.
