New hotshot project
This is my latest eBay buy. A Hotshot 1 that looks fairly complete, though flithy and rather tatty in places. Lacks one front drive shaft, and the motor's knackered by a rotten bag. Hope to restore this to good nick, at least to runner status.
Thoughts on my lastest dog appeciated!

Melted bag. Yikes, what a mess!
Minor shell damage. Have the missing headlight.
Years of grime.
Looks OK underneath.
Nothing too scary under the hood.

What is that 'bag' on the motor? Ballon that is burned and have started to dry-roth or?

I had a melted bad on a Technipower motor before now so I scraped the worst off, dismantled the motor and soaked the can in hot water! The rest of the bag came off easy!!

I was going to suggest putting the motor in the freezer and see how the rubber liked that. It could peel off like paint or just stay stuck??? Heat might work too, but could get gummy again. Looks pretty intact, but run perhaps a bit hard judging from the lightly nackered front bumper with the extra large screw. Enjoy it and drive it with RWD, it could be fun enough until you find the other dogbone, or perhaps until I can find another dogbone for you.
