This is a special one to me.First this is my all times favorite car and second this is where everything about Tamiya began some 29 years ago.I bought this car in my local paper shop in 81'.I was 7 years old and saw this car in a corner with loads of dust on it.It was very attrackt to this beautifull object but the price was tower high, about 3500 BF (87 Euros). This was a mountain of money when you're 7 so I had to wait and wait. One day the shop owner told me the car was not produced any more and that he stopped with the selling of RC cars because there was no demand. He did me a proposition for half the price.I had only 1600 BF (40 Euros) and he agreed.I still can remember the day I brought back home this object.I build the car the day after but without painting.Just the pilot was painted (with my fingers :).
Bacause I had no money for the battery, charger or radio this one stayed new (bad) build for about 26 years.3 years ago I found it back in my parents house under the dust and I felt the same emotion as the first time I saw the car. This is probably the most expensive Tamiya ever because the virus came back very hard and now this car is not alone any more.About one year ago after looking for NIP original decals I had the opportunity to buy a decent one for too many of course but It was comlete with the exaust and retro's.3 mont's ago I decided to start the revivel of my first one and tonight the job will be completed with the decals.
This is not an easy car like most of hard bodys but working on this legend is allways special. This is what's it's all about, pleasure :)

You´re right.... Pleasure. Pleasure in the election of the kit, in the built and painting process. But most important when it talks good words about its owner. Enjoy it..

That last photo says it all, she seems to have the same love of the car as you do. I hope one day she is involved with a love of her own with as much passion as you have for your JPS. nice work
