Shades on chaps ...... it's Leila's Lunchbox!!!
Yes it is a bit on the bright side I know, but then when your eldest daughter is only 5, pink is still very much in !!!
Well this is how I try to spend quality time with my two daughters and still indulge in tamiya.
This started out its life as a new build pumpkin I got for a very agreeable local pickup deal off rizzo rat (Thanks mate). I soon sold on the yellow wheels and pumpkin shell to finance a straight purchase of some new chrome wheels and a parma lexan shell (what fun that was to paint!).
Still need to do some finishing off details and if anyone has any tips on where to get number plate decals that can be personalized that will fit well on the VLB shell I would be very grateful to hear from you.
I also sourced a traxxas pistol grip controller as the little one has struggled to get to grips with my old skool stick controller. The pistol grip works well for her in regards to steering and forwards but her trigger finger just aint long enough to point it away for reverse/BRAKING!!! Needless to say I am never far away! So far we are only scooting about on a local sports field with no other obstacles other than our ankles! All is going well and she loves the wheelies .. I must say that it's a fairly fun drive for me too but I think I will prefer it when we can progress to a bit of gravel and a few jumps in time. But I am enjoying sharing my hobby with the girls... Long live the Pink!

Pink suits the LB well! I may do the same for my 4-year old daughter

Superb, I'm trying to find a way to do the same, but my two are only 3 & 2.. (I'm thinking off road Lightning McQueen) Great work so far, and good luck with driving lessons..

Just don't turn up to the next Reading Bash with it. OK!?

Cheers people for the nice comments, it's still in need of a little finishing with decals etc. but the young lady is very happy and I am very proud!
I think for young kids you cant go wrong with a VLB and certainly you can't go wrong with pink for girls!
@ Dunk....What? You know, I know it's all scale and vintage at the reading bash... still that don't stop me turning up with brushless barrel rollin' junk does it not?!! I guess a pink VLB is a step up from my usual tamiya attire!!!!!
