I bought this Hotshot II off Ebay about a month or so ago. When it arrived I found out that there were a few broken parts on it, my aim is to restore it & the fist lot of new parts has just arrived in the mail so I thought I would add some pics to my showroom before the resto begins. Ive been searching hi & low for a D parts tree but cannot find one as yet, if anyone can help me out that would be appreciated.
As with all my projects I will update as the resto progresses.------------------------------------------------------------------26/12/2010 Nearly finished it now, all new plastic parts except for the D parts tree which I'm still looking for, I was going to get a new shell for it but I kinda like the colours of this one so it will stay for now.
Also found out hotshot rear arms won't fit but the boomers are the same.-----------------------------------------------------------------------16/5/2011 Finally found the D parts tree Iv'e been looking for the resto is now complete, unless I decide to put a new body on it one day.....

Great looking project...Is there any difference between the Hotshot and Hotshot II apart from the body and decals? I really like the look of the II

yes there are several differences between the Hotshots I & II, diferent body & roof, suspention setup, chassis, can't remember if there are others. I don't have a Hotsot to compare, just going from the manuals.

Interesting blend of colors there, HS1 and HS2 influence I see. If it is the shock support from the D parts you are after, I wonder, does the Boomerang use just that part to get the shock onto the front arms or is it different???? I am sorry I can't be much more help at the moment, but all my bits are everywhere, much like a grenade went off in my collection.

Thanks Crash, the Boomerang shock supports look the same & I now have a Boomerang B parts tree on the way. I'm still looking for the Hotshot II D parts though as I'm after the shock tower & skidplate which I think are unique to the HS II.

I have got one , But i don't have the hotshot. But have got the release hotshot. Great restore .
