I purchased this from the US for a very nice price it was not listed under the normal Tamiya items I only came arcoss it by chance while looking for other items it had a buy it now on it after contacting the seller he dropped the price even more as he just wanted to get rid of it.
I never thought I would own this kit as a nib but never say never .
It will will in a few spaces in my collection.
I have been asked how I came across it I was looking for 1:1 parts for my daughters car power steering hose and saw this and it said Sand Rover ,I thought to myself there were never any Sand Rovers released in 1:1 cars (not that I know of Dune Buggy maybe) so I clicked on the link and saw the kit pictured I immediatly emailed the seller and said is this for real he said sure is I will sell it for US$250.00 + Postage....Click Click Click on the buy it now button its funny but when you get a bargain like this you still get that butterfly feeling inside and almost shake with excitment. Is about that time I ask the wife for the money and sell her the idea its a bargain I dont make eye contact with her I sit and look at the screen and hope she plays ball.
Thanks for looking.

Just love the Sand Rover - it was my first Tamiya.
Stu how was it listed, just 'Sand Rover'? You surely can't be many off that magical 100 now!

Nice one swarm classic & rare collectable kit. Even if it is re-released like the Holiday Buggy it will only serve to push up the value of these 1st edition classic old skool kits

Very nice looking kit and it even arrived in one unbroken/uncrushed piece. How did that issue ever sort itself out with the BAD seller on bay? Will understand if you don't want to bring that up again.

Bargain mate. I hate it when they agree a price on ebay and say I'll put it as a buy it now especially when its a bargain. Sat there watching and waiting so as not to miss it. Have to say if I'd have been sat at the PC as the guy put BIN on it my clicking finger might have just beat you Lol. Good on you Stu

A great catch Stu! I still need to get one of these built or NIB. I actually had seen a 1:1 in black on the road the other day. I was tempted to get the take some snaps with the iphone!
