i have been slow on updates on this, but am into this build again. firewall, wheel wells and floor just about done. a few more things and i should be able to get some paint on it, even though after all this time, ( i am getting close to 450 hours on this model) i still cant seem to pick a color.

Looks great every time I see it C, I don't think I have that many hours in all my trucks. This will be very amazing if you ever get it done

Oh mate that is just amazing! True craftsmanship. Don't rush it now! That has to be the ultimate YJ...

The end appears to be in sight...and it will likely never be finished since at this level of detail it will always be something to do or a new part will come out that could be applied. I'd vote for plain old Jeep red

@jeremy, thanks and i am trying not to rush, its only been like two years . @seth, i never thought you would pick that color, but i want something metallic. the main reason for going throught all this trouble was i wanted something that when i took pictures of it, you cant tell its an rc at all. so i think something metallic will give it a little more shimmer and pop.

Metallic green. I alway's loved that color. Parma makes a beautiful metallic green. But I do like a bright red as seth sujested. spectacular build!!!!

I was a bit afraid this would allready have been in the 'never ending project box'... Luckily enough it is not! I love this project and hope to see it finished someday. But metallic, hmmm, what colour would suit it? maybe silver/medium gun metal? or light blue?. decisions decisions... keep up!

Looks superb, how about a metallic bronze/ brown/ gold type thing?

Keep up the awesome work.

Great work, really like it. 2years and every minute worth it. If you want metallic I'd consider gun metal, a bright colour will look more RC..

Glad to see that you haven't given up this build. Giving it time and many many hours just makes it more special. You won't love the builds you finish in a weekend as much as the ones you spend lots of time with. I don't know what kind of look you want, but my suggestion is that this extremely detailed Wrangler would be a show stopper with a metallic paint job, either burgundy or my favorite the blue/green metallic Jeep color. like this [Click here]

Good to see you still working on it C. As far as color, how about Tamiya dark yellow or Desert yellow.

7.2inchdriver

4-Oct-2010

thanks to all for the comments, the top and interior are going be tan, so the color has to match. i have narrowed it down to a few choices, probably wont decide till the last minute.

If there is really a jeep museum, in the US this jeep woudt look to good there, a work of art! Stunning job you did on this YJ. Whats next..... the color, my brother has a painting room and hey can make 1001 color´s lol! for every type truck the real paint. Nothing to worryed about, send that body to my home, my brother will paint it for you and you wil get it back in a safe lol! Not as Bob alias Eddyvedder from RC Jeeps how hey´s get his new XJ Jeep with some little scratches her and their! Now you have to sleep a few nights extra about what paint you woudt have........

Yes, I'm sorry to all who followed this build for so long, but sometimes life happens and time is short. But please believe me, no one wants to see this finished more than me.
